Meet the
Executive Director
Henry J. Payden, Jr.

Henry Payden is the Senior Pastor-Teacher of First Baptist Church of Malvern, Ohio (www.fbcmalvernoh.com), a rural community segregated by politics, religion, and race. He has served there since July 1996. He was born and raised on the east side of Cleveland, served in the US Navy in Yokosuka, Japan, and Guam, and returned home to serve the Lord. He lives in Akron, Ohio, with his wife Angela. They have four children and six grandchildren. He commutes to Malvern an hour southeast.

Pastor Payden began Church & Culture Conference Ministries, LLC in order to bring to Northeast Ohio an awareness of the issues that divide us as churches and that keep us from the unity that this area needs to see from us, upholding the truth without compromise, prevailing in the society with solid answers to difficult problems. Every local church may never have a plethora of ethnicities in it, but it must always remain open to the possibility and govern itself accordingly. Ignorance breeds idolatry. Idolatry breeds indifference. We are called to unity. It takes effort to have it, and to maintain it.

It was also begun to bring to this area speakers who are not afraid to boldly address the issues that divide us. Racism, classism, nationalism, white supremacy, politics, Hebrew Israelite-ism, and other divisive ideologies borne of Satan's kingdom. We're in an ongoing battle. Like David, we must be Shepherd Warriors. We must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

The first conference in October of 2022, was held at Scranton Road Bible Church with Pastor Mark Pratt. The conference was called "The State of the Church in America", with the keynote speaker being Dr. James Ford, Jr. from Chicago, IL. Much was learned from that conference as we move forward with the resolve to broaden our reach into the hearts of the faithful, and the face of the unfaithful, that we might all begin to stand faithfully together against what divides us.

CHURCH & CULTURE
CONFERENCE MINISTRIES

  PRESERVING UNITY ~ EXPOSING FALSEHOOD

OBJECTIVE

Our primary objective is to  accurately proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole counsel of God's Word (Acts 20:27; Romans 1:16-17), thereby exposing false teaching regarding race, ethnicity, and culture as it relates to the Church.

Church & Culture Conference Ministries (3CM) is here to lovingly admonish, teach, and diligently encourage the accurate instruction of God’s Word as it relates to race, ethnicity and culture in the Church.

We welcome biblical challenge, dialogue and discussion, and a willingness to confront in order to seek the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  (Ephesians 4:3, 15-16; 5:1-12; Galatians 2:2).

GOALS

 1.  To strengthen and support the Church in regards to unity and peace above and beyond the negative influences of the American culture and political agendas.

2. To promote acceptance of diversity in the Church as it relates to race, ethnicity, and culture, while learning to celebrate our differences.

3. To help the Church see and understand that the believers identity is in Christ alone.

4. To encourage open dialogue in regard to  sensitive issues that hinder unity in the Body of Christ.

5. To "teach, reprove, correct and train in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequately equipped in every good work."

(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

6. To advance the 3CM Conference throughout America.

Matthew 16:18; 2 Corinthians 4:2; Ephesians 4:3; 1Timothy 3:15.
